Vascular Lesions
|
|
| Some vascular lesions are
visible at birth, while others are acquired as a person ages. Chances
are, either type can be treated using light. |
|
| In accordance with the principle of selective
photothermolysis, blood vessels in these lesions can be selectively
heated and destroyed without damaging surrounding, healthy tissue. In
the mid 1980's physicians began using light to treat port wine stains.
Many recipients considered it a miracle of modern medicine. |
|
| Twenty years later, in the form of Harmony™, the
technology has advanced significantly, and is now capable of clearing or
improving nearly any vascular lesion, including: |
|
- Port wine stains.
- Hemangiomas.
- Facial, truncal and leg telangiectasias.
- Rosacea, erythema of rosacea.
- Angiomas and spider angiomas.
- Poikiloderma of Civatte.
- Leg veins and other venous malformations.
|
|
| Why Harmony™ is a good choice ? |
|
| Harmony's unique combination of AFT and Nd:YAG
treatment heads provide a powerful choice of wavelengths, pulse widths
and energies to eliminate or improve the widest range of vascular
lesions treatable with a single unit. |
|
- Use on all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI), including tanned skin.
- More rapidly treat multiple or larger lesions, compared with other
technologies.
- Easy to use, but provides enough flexibility to choose the
parameters that are best for each patient's condition.
